From Mizen Head, take the R591 road heading north towards Goleen. Continue on the R591 for about 5 kilometers until you reach the junction with the N71. Turn right onto the N71 and continue for approximately 8 kilometers toward the town of Bantry. Once in Bantry, follow signs for the ferry to Bere Island, located at the Bantry Pier. The ferry operates regularly, and the cost for a round trip is approximately €10 per person. After arriving on Bere Island, follow the local signs to Bere Island West, where you will find the Wild Atlantic Way Discovery Point located at coordinates J3QX+HRH. This journey will take roughly 30-40 minutes by car, not including the ferry crossing time.
