In Rostrevor, turn onto Newtown Road. The Yellow Water Picnic Site will be on your right after about 0.5 miles (0.8 km). There is parking available on-site.

To reach the Yellow Water Picnic Site using public transport, take a bus from Newry to Rostrevor. Bus services such as the 238 or 239 operate frequently. Once you arrive in Rostrevor, disembark at the stop closest to the village center. From there, it is about a 15-minute walk (1 mile or 1.6 km) to the picnic site. Head southeast on the A2, then turn onto Newtown Road, and the picnic site will be on your right. Be sure to check the bus schedules in advance to plan your trip effectively.

For example, starting from the Spelga Dam car park, you can take the Mourne Way trail heading towards Rostrevor. Follow the trail signs, and after approximately 3 miles (4.8 km), you will reach Newtown Road. Turn right, and the Yellow Water Picnic Site is about 0.5 miles (0.8 km) ahead on your right. Make sure to wear appropriate hiking gear and carry a map or GPS device.
