If you're traveling by car, start from Killarney, a major town in the Ring of Kerry. Head west on the N71 road towards Kenmare. After approximately 28 km, you will reach the town of Kenmare. Continue on the N71 for another 24 km until you reach the junction for the N70. Turn right onto the N70 road, heading towards Sneem. After about 10 km, you will see signs for Derrynane. Follow the signs to Derrynane More, and you will arrive at Derrynane National Historic Park. Parking is available near the entrance, usually free of charge.

If you're using public transportation, take a bus from Killarney to Kenmare. The bus service is run by Bus Éireann and typically takes about 30 minutes. Once in Kenmare, you will need to catch a local bus or taxi to reach Derrynane National Historic Park. The local bus may not run frequently, so checking the schedule in advance is advisable. Alternatively, you can book a taxi from Kenmare to Derrynane, which is about a 10 km ride.
