• Car

  If you're already on Slea Head Drive, continue heading west on the R559 road. Look for signs for Dunquin, which will guide you towards your destination. After approximately 7 kilometers, you will arrive at a fork in the road. Take the left fork, continuing to follow the signs for Dunquin. The road will narrow, and you will see stunning views of the Atlantic Ocean on your left. Continue straight until you reach Ballyickeen Commons. Once you arrive, park in the designated parking area near the pier. Note that parking may incur a small fee.

• Public Transportation

  To reach Cé Dhún Chaoin / Dunquin Pier using public transportation, you can take a bus from Dingle. The bus service operates regularly but check the current schedule for the most accurate times. Board the bus to Dunquin; the journey takes about 30 minutes. Once you arrive in Dunquin, you will need to walk approximately 1 kilometer downhill towards the pier. Follow the signs leading to Dunquin Pier. Be prepared for varying weather conditions, and wear comfortable walking shoes. Note that some bus services may charge a fare, typically around €5-€10 for a one-way ticket.

  If you prefer a more direct route and are not driving, consider taking a taxi or rideshare service from Dingle to Dunquin. The journey is about 13 kilometers and will take approximately 20 minutes.
