Getting There

Bus
From Sligo town center, walk to the Sligo Bus Station located at 4-5 Market Yard, Sligo. Take the Bus Eireann Route 64 heading towards Donegal Town. Make sure to inform the driver that you want to get off at 'Teelin.' The journey takes approximately 1 hour. Once you arrive in Teelin, disembark and walk towards the coast. Follow signs towards Sliabh Liag. The hike to the cliffs is about 30 minutes on foot, following a well-marked trail.

Train and Bus
First, walk to the Sligo Train Station located at the end of the street near O'Connell Street. Take a train to Ballina. From Ballina, go to the Ballina Bus Station and take a Bus Eireann service (Route 64) to Donegal Town. From Donegal Town, transfer to a bus heading towards Teelin. You will get off at the Teelin stop. The hike from Teelin to Sliabh Liag takes about 30 minutes.

Walking
If you are feeling adventurous and enjoy long walks, you can walk from Sligo town to Sliabh Liag. This will take approximately 4-5 hours. Start from the center of Sligo and head south, following the R292 road towards Kinlough. Continue on this road until you reach the R231 towards Teelin. Look out for signs that indicate Sliabh Liag. Be sure to wear comfortable walking shoes and bring water as this is a scenic but long trek.
