If you are traveling by car, start from the village of Portmagee, which is one of the main access points to The Skelligs. Head southwest on the N70, following the signs for Valentia Island. After about 8 km, turn left onto the R566 towards Derrynane. Continue on the R566 for approximately 15 km, passing through scenic coastal and rural landscapes. Eventually, you will reach a junction; take a right turn towards Derrynane Beach. There is a dedicated parking area just before the beach, where you can leave your car. Note that parking may incur a small fee, usually around €5 per day.

To reach Derrynane Beach via public transportation, you can take the Bus Éireann route from Killarney to Caherdaniel. Buses run several times a day, but it's best to check the latest schedule. Once you arrive in Caherdaniel, you will need to walk approximately 2.5 km to reach Derrynane Beach. Follow the main road (R566) towards the beach, enjoying the beautiful views along the way. Be sure to plan your return trip as bus services may be limited in the evening.
