Getting There

• Car

  If you're driving to Ulster Museum, set your GPS to 'Botanic Gardens, Belfast BT9 5AB, United Kingdom'. From central Belfast, take the A12 Westlink and follow signs for the M1. Merge onto the M1 and take exit 1 for A1 towards Dublin. Continue on the A1 and take the exit toward A55. Follow the A55 and then turn onto the Botanic Gardens Road. The museum will be on your left. There is limited parking available nearby, and pay-and-display parking may incur a fee, typically around £1.50 per hour.

• Public Transportation - Bus

  To reach the Ulster Museum by bus, head to the nearest bus stop and catch the Metro bus service number 9 or 11, which runs frequently from various locations in Belfast. The journey takes approximately 15-20 minutes. Get off at the stop 'Botanic Gardens' and the museum will be a short walk from there.

• Public Transportation - Train

  If you're coming from outside Belfast, take a train to Belfast Central Station. From there, you can either walk (approximately 25 minutes) or take a taxi to the Ulster Museum. Alternatively, you can catch a Metro bus (number 9 or 11) directly from the station. The bus ride will take around 10 minutes. Note that train fares vary depending on your starting location.

  If you are already in the vicinity, the Ulster Museum is located within the Botanic Gardens. From the city centre, it is about a 20-30 minute walk. Head southwest on Donegall Place toward Chichester Street, then continue onto Dublin Road. Turn left onto Botanic Avenue and follow it straight to the entrance of the Botanic Gardens. The museum is situated within the gardens.
