Travel Guide to Dungarvan Castle

Getting There

• Bus

  From Waterford city center, head to the Waterford Bus Station located at the corner of The Quay and O'Connell Street. Board the Bus Éireann route 360 towards Dungarvan. The bus ride will take approximately 40-50 minutes. Once you arrive at Dungarvan Bus Station, exit the station and head towards the main street, O'Connell Street. Take a left on O'Connell Street and continue straight until you reach Castle Street, which is on your right. Dungarvan Castle will be located a short walk down Castle Street.

• Train and Bus

  Take a train from Waterford Railway Station to the nearest train station, which is in Kilkenny. From Kilkenny, you will need to take a bus to Dungarvan. The bus stop is located near the train station. After arriving in Dungarvan, follow O'Connell Street, and take a right onto Castle Street. Dungarvan Castle will be on your left.

• Walking

  If you're starting from the center of Dungarvan, simply walk towards O'Connell Street. Once you reach O'Connell Street, take a right and continue onto Castle Street. Dungarvan Castle is located directly on Castle Street, and you will see the castle shortly after your turn.

• Bicycle

  If you are renting a bicycle in Waterford, take the cycle path towards Dungarvan. Follow the signs for the Waterford Greenway, a scenic cycling route that will take you directly to Dungarvan. Once you reach Dungarvan, navigate towards O'Connell Street, then turn right onto Castle Street where Dungarvan Castle is located.
