Car
If you're driving from the center of Wicklow Mountains, head northeast on the R755 road towards the town of Rathdrum. Continue on the R755 until you reach the junction with the N11. Merge onto the N11 heading north. After approximately 12 kilometers, take exit 6 for the R118 towards Bray/Sandyford. Follow the R118 for about 6 kilometers until you reach the coastal town of Sandycove. Look for signs directing you to Sandycove Beach, which is a well-known spot in the area.
Public Transportation
From Wicklow Mountains, take a bus to Bray. You can catch the 133 or 145 bus services from various points in the mountains. Once in Bray, switch to the DART (Dublin Area Rapid Transit) train service. Board the southbound train towards Greystones and get off at Sandycove station. From the station, it's a short 10-minute walk to Sandycove Beach. Just follow the signs or ask locals for directions.
