Getting There

  • Walking

    From the center of Ballasalla, head south on the A5 road (also known as the Castletown Road). Continue walking straight for about 500 meters until you reach the junction with the B5 road. Turn right onto B5 and follow it for another 300 meters. You will see a footpath on your left side; take this footpath which leads towards the countryside. After 200 meters, you will arrive at The Monks Well, located at the coordinates 54.1044195, -4.6367421.

  • Bus

    If you prefer to take public transport, catch the bus route heading towards Castletown from the Ballasalla bus stop. You will need to get off at the stop named 'Ballasalla, Church'. From there, walk south along the A5 road for about 400 meters. Look for the B5 road to your right, turn onto it, and continue walking for approximately 300 meters. You will find a footpath on your left that leads to The Monks Well after about 200 meters.

  • Bicycle

    If you have access to a bicycle, start from Ballasalla village center and cycle south along the A5 road. After about 500 meters, at the junction with the B5 road, turn right. Continue along B5 for about 300 meters and watch for a footpath on your left. Take this path, and it will lead you directly to The Monks Well in approximately 200 meters.
