Getting There

  • Walking

    From the center of Castletown, head east along the main road, which is called the A5. Continue walking straight for about 1 mile (1.6 km) until you reach a junction with a signpost for Balladoole. Turn left onto the B11 road, which is also signposted towards the airport. Follow this road for approximately half a mile (800 meters). You will see a pathway leading off to the right that appears to head towards the coast. Follow this path, which will lead you directly to the Balladoole Heritage Site, marked by informative signs and scenic views.

  • Public Transport - Bus

    From the Bus Station in Castletown, take Bus Route 1 towards Douglas. Ask the bus driver to drop you off at the Balladoole stop, which is about 15 minutes into the journey. Once you get off, walk back towards the main road, then take a left onto the B11 road. Walk for approximately half a mile (800 meters) until you see a pathway leading off to the right that heads towards the coast. Follow this path to reach Balladoole Heritage Site.
