Getting There

Walking
From the center of Laxey, start at the Laxey Wheel. Head east on New Road towards the A2. Continue walking straight until you reach the junction where you can turn left onto the A2. Follow the A2 for approximately 0.5 miles until you reach a sign for Groudle Glen. Turn left onto Groudle Road and continue for about 0.3 miles. As you approach Groudle Glen, keep an eye out for a footpath that leads up towards the hills on your right. Follow this footpath that meanders through the woods. It will eventually lead you up towards Axnfell Plantation. The terrain can be steep in places, but the views are lovely as you ascend.

Bus
From Laxey, head to the nearest bus stop located at the Laxey Post Office. Board the bus heading towards Ramsey. Ride the bus for about 15 minutes and get off at the stop near the Groudle Glen entrance. From there, exit the bus and head towards Groudle Road. Walk up Groudle Road for about 0.3 miles before taking the footpath that leads into the woods. Follow the footpath which will take you to Axnfell Plantation. As you walk, enjoy the natural beauty of the area.
