Getting There

  • Walking

    From the center of Bethlehem, head east on Manger Street (Derech HaManger). Continue straight for about 1.5 kilometers. You will pass by the Church of the Nativity on your left. After passing the church, follow the signs towards the checkpoint that leads to Jerusalem. At the checkpoint, you will need to go through security before crossing into Jerusalem. Once you are in Jerusalem, continue straight until you reach the intersection with Hillel Street. Turn left onto Hillel Street and walk for about 500 meters. St. Anne's Church will be on your right, just before the entrance to the Lion's Gate.

    From the Bethlehem bus station, take the bus number 21 towards Jerusalem. The bus will take you through the checkpoint into Jerusalem. After approximately 30 minutes, get off at the stop near the Damascus Gate. From there, walk straight down Sultan Suleiman Street for about 1 kilometer. You will see signs for St. Anne's Church. The church is located on your left, just before the entrance to the Lion's Gate.
