From the Ein Gedi Nature Reserve entrance, head southeast on the main road (Ein Gedi St) towards the Dead Sea. Continue walking for about 1.5 km until you reach the main highway (Route 90). Cross the highway using the designated pedestrian crosswalk and turn left. Walk along Route 90 for approximately 1 km until you reach the bus stop for the Egged Bus Line 486 towards Jerusalem.

Once you arrive at the Egged Bus stop on Route 90, board the bus Line 486 towards Jerusalem. The bus will take you directly to the central bus station in Jerusalem. The journey will take about 1 hour, depending on traffic. Once you arrive at the central bus station in Jerusalem, look for signs directing you to the light rail or local buses.

From the central bus station in Jerusalem, exit the station and head to the light rail station. Board the light rail train towards 'Harel' and disembark at the 'City Hall' stop. From there, walk towards the Old City, which is about a 20-minute walk. Follow the signs to the Old City and head towards Mount Zion, where the Church of the Visitation is located.
