From Jerusalem, head southeast on Route 1 towards the Dead Sea. After approximately 10 km, take the exit towards Route 396. Follow Route 396 for about 18 km until you reach a junction with Route 90. Continue on Route 90 for another 5 km until you reach the sign for 'Mar Saba Monastery'. Turn onto the narrow road that leads to the monastery. Be cautious as the road can be steep and winding. There is limited parking available near the entrance.

From the Jerusalem Central Bus Station, take the Egged bus line 21 or 25 towards 'Ma'ale Adumim' or 'Kfar Adumim'. The bus will drop you off at the last stop. From there, you will need to walk approximately 2 km to the monastery. Follow the signs leading to Mar Saba, and be prepared for some uphill walking. It's recommended to wear comfortable shoes and bring water, especially during the warmer months.
