Walking
If you are already in the Old City, start at the Jaffa Gate, which is one of the main entrances. From Jaffa Gate, walk straight down David Street, a vibrant market street filled with shops. Continue walking until you reach a prominent intersection with a large open area in front of you. This area is known as Zion Square. From Zion Square, head towards the direction of the Western Wall, which you can see signs for. Follow the signs leading you through the narrow streets. You will go through the Jewish Quarter, where you can enjoy the historical architecture. As you approach the Western Wall, you will see the entrance to the Western Wall Plaza. The Western Wall Excavations are located adjacent to the plaza, where you can access the archaeological site.

Public Transport (Bus)
While the Old City is best explored on foot, if you are coming from outside the Old City, you can take a bus to the nearby area. Use the Egged bus service to get to the area around the Old City. The closest bus stops are near the Damascus Gate. From the Damascus Gate, walk through the gate and follow the signs for the Western Wall. It is a short walk, approximately 10-15 minutes, to reach the Western Wall Plaza.
