  If you are traveling by car from the Judean Desert to the Western Wall in Jerusalem, start by heading towards Route 1, the main highway that connects the desert area to the city. Depending on your exact starting point, you may need to navigate local roads to reach Route 1. Once on Route 1, continue driving towards Jerusalem. As you approach the city, follow the signs for the Old City. You will need to find parking outside the Old City walls, as the area around the Western Wall is pedestrian-only. Parking can be found at the Mamilla parking lot, which is about a 10-minute walk from the Western Wall. The cost for parking typically ranges from 30-60 NIS (approximately $9-$18) per day. After parking, head towards the Jaffa Gate, enter the Old City, and follow the signs to the Western Wall.

  To reach the Western Wall using public transportation from the Judean Desert, first locate a bus station that services routes to Jerusalem. Egged Bus Company operates several lines from various points in the Judean Desert to the Central Bus Station in Jerusalem. Once you arrive at the Central Bus Station, you can take a light rail train towards the City Center and get off at the City Hall station. From there, you can either walk (approximately 20 minutes) or take a bus or taxi to the Old City. If you choose to walk, head towards Jaffa Street, then turn left onto King David Street, which will lead you to the Old City. Enter through the Jaffa Gate and follow the signs to the Western Wall. The bus fare typically costs around 20 NIS (approximately $6), and the light rail fare is similar.
