If you're traveling by car, head towards the town of Velturno, located in the Autonomous Province of Bolzano – South Tyrol. From the direction of Bressanone (Brixen), take the SS12 road southbound. After approximately 10 kilometers, take the exit towards Velturno. Follow the signs to the center of Velturno. Once you reach Via Paese, Castel Velturno will be located at Via Paese, 1. There is parking available nearby, though it may incur a small fee depending on the location.

To reach Castel Velturno via public transportation, take a regional train to Bressanone (Brixen) from your starting point on the Alta Via 1. From Bressanone, you can catch the bus line 310 towards Velturno. The bus departs regularly, and the journey takes approximately 20 minutes. Once you arrive in Velturno, disembark at the stop named 'Velturno - Paese' and walk along Via Paese for about 5 minutes. Castel Velturno will be on your left at Via Paese, 1.
