By Car
If you're traveling by car, start by navigating to the town of Villandro (Villanders) in the Province of Bolzano. From Bolzano, take the SS12 road heading north. After approximately 10 km, take the exit for the SP66 towards Villandro. Follow the SP66 for about 5 km until you reach the village of Villandro. In the village, follow the signs towards 'Mine Villanders'. The address is Oberland, 36, 39040 Villandro BZ. There is usually parking available nearby the mine, but be sure to check for any parking fees.
By Public Transportation
To reach Mine Villanders via public transport, first take a train to Bolzano. From Bolzano train station, you can catch a bus to Villandro. Look for bus line 10, which operates frequently and will take you directly to Villandro. The bus ride takes about 30-40 minutes. Once you arrive at the Villandro town center, follow the signs to 'Mine Villanders'. The mine is about a 10-minute walk from the bus stop. Be sure to check the bus schedules in advance for return trips, as services may vary.
Walking from Villandro
If you find yourself in Villandro and wish to walk to Mine Villanders, head from the town center towards the signposts marked for the mine. The walk will take approximately 15-20 minutes. Follow the path that leads uphill; it’s a scenic route with beautiful views of the surrounding area. Be sure to wear comfortable walking shoes.
