Getting There

• Car

  If you are driving, head towards Moos in Passeier, which is located in the Autonomous Province of Bolzano – South Tyrol. From Merano, take the SS38 road heading south towards Passo del Rombo. Follow the signs for Moos in Passeier. Once you arrive in Moos, look for signs indicating Cascata Stieber. There is a small parking area near the entrance to the walking path leading to the waterfall. Note that parking may have a small fee, so keep some coins handy.

• Public Transportation

  To reach Cascata Stieber by public transport, take a train from Bolzano to Merano. From Merano, you can catch a bus (Line 213) towards Moos in Passeier. The bus ride takes about 30 minutes. Disembark at the Moos in Passeier stop. From there, you will need to walk towards the waterfall, which is about a 30-minute hike along the marked trails. Ensure you check the bus schedule ahead of time for return trips, as services may be limited.

• Hiking

  Once you arrive at the parking area or the bus stop in Moos in Passeier, follow the well-marked hiking trail to Cascata Stieber. The trail is relatively easy and takes approximately 30 minutes. It offers beautiful views of the surrounding landscape, so take your time and enjoy the scenery. Make sure to wear comfortable hiking shoes and bring water. The trail may be steep in certain sections, so be prepared for some moderate exertion.
