Car
If you're traveling by car, start from Bolzano, the capital of Alto Adige. Take the A22 motorway towards Brennero and exit at 'Bolzano Nord'. From the exit, follow the signs for Ritten (Renon). Continue along the SP24 road, which will take you through beautiful landscapes. After approximately 20 minutes, you'll reach the town of Longostagno (Longostagno). From there, follow the signs for the Earth Pyramids (Piramidi di Terra). You may need to park at designated parking areas near the trails leading to the pyramids. Look for parking signs, as unauthorized parking can incur fines.
Public Transportation
To reach the Earth Pyramids using public transportation, start from Bolzano's central train station. Take the Renon (Ritten) cable car from Bolzano to Oberbozen (Soprabolzano). The cable car ride offers stunning views and takes about 12 minutes. Once you arrive at Oberbozen, transfer to the Ritten railway (little train) heading towards Maria Assunta. Get off at the 'Piramidi' station, which is the closest stop to the Earth Pyramids. From there, it is a short, well-marked walk to the pyramids. Be sure to check the cable car and train schedules in advance, as they may vary.
