From Amalfi, head to the Amalfi ferry terminal, which is located at the marina near the main square (Piazza Flavio Gioia). Look for the signs directing you to the ferry services. Purchase a ticket to Positano from the ticket office or the automated machines. The ferry ride takes approximately 30 minutes and offers stunning views of the coastline. Once you arrive at the Positano ferry terminal, you will be right in the heart of Positano.
Bus
If you prefer to take a bus, walk to the Amalfi bus station located a short distance from the main square. Look for the SITA bus service heading towards Positano. Purchase your ticket at the ticket counter or on the bus. Buses may take about 40 minutes, depending on traffic. The bus will drop you off at the main bus stop in Positano, which is a short walk from the beach and the main attractions.
Walking (via Scenic Route)
For the adventurous, you can walk from Amalfi to Positano. This scenic hike takes approximately 2 to 3 hours and is about 8 kilometers (5 miles) long. Start by taking the path from Amalfi that leads to the village of Atrani. Continue along the coastal path, enjoying breathtaking views of the Mediterranean. Follow the signs to Positano, and be prepared for some steep sections. Once you arrive in Positano, you'll be greeted with stunning views and the vibrant atmosphere of this picturesque town.
