Walking
From the center of Sorrento, make your way to Piazza Tasso, which is the main square. Once at the square, look for the signs directing you towards the Sorrento train station (Stazione di Sorrento). Walk towards the train station on Via Luigi de Maio. After reaching the station, take the Circumvesuviana train towards Naples. Get off at the stop for Positano (you'll have to change trains at a stop called Sant'Agnello, and then transfer to a bus to Positano). Once in Positano, follow the signs to the beach, which will lead you down to Via del Brigantino. The beach, Spiaggia di Positano Marina Grande, is located right at the bottom of this street.

From the center of Sorrento, walk to the local bus terminal located near Piazza Tasso. Look for the SITA bus that goes to Positano. The bus ride will take you along the scenic coastal road, and it usually takes about 30-40 minutes. Get off at the Positano stop and follow the signs towards the beach. You will walk down Via del Brigantino, which leads directly to Spiaggia di Positano Marina Grande.

Ferry
Head to the Sorrento harbor, which is located near the main square, Piazza Tasso. Look for the ferry services that operate to Positano. Purchase a ticket and board the ferry; the ride takes approximately 30 minutes and offers beautiful views of the coastline. When you arrive at the Positano ferry terminal, follow the signs down to the beach. The Spiaggia di Positano Marina Grande is a short walk from the terminal.
