Make sure to check the bus schedule in advance as it may vary. Once you arrive at the Paestum bus stop, you will need to walk about 1 kilometer to reach Via Torre di Paestum. Follow the signs towards the archaeological area, and the road will lead you directly there.

    First, walk from Amalfi to the nearest train station in Salerno. This can be done by taking a SITA bus from Amalfi to Salerno (approximately 1 hour). Once in Salerno, head to Salerno train station. From there, take a train towards Paestum; the journey will take around 30 minutes. Upon arriving at the Paestum train station, you can walk to Via Torre di Paestum in about 15 minutes. Just exit the station and follow the signs toward the archaeological site.

  • Walking

    While walking from Amalfi directly to Paestum is quite a long journey (approximately 30 kilometers), if you are feeling adventurous and want to explore the coastal paths, you can walk along the coastal trail. Start from the Amalfi Cathedral and head towards Atrani. From Atrani, continue along the coastal path towards Minori and Maiori. Once in Maiori, you can catch a bus or continue walking. However, due to the distance, it is recommended to use public transport instead for convenience.
