If you are traveling by car, start from Aosta. Take the SS26 road towards Chatillon. Continue on SS26 for about 20 km. As you approach Chatillon, look for signs indicating Ussel. Turn left onto Via Ussel and follow the road for approximately 2 km until you reach Castello di Ussel. There is parking available near the castle, which is free of charge.
Public Transportation
To reach Castello di Ussel via public transportation, start at the Aosta bus station. Take the bus to Chatillon, which operates regularly. The journey takes about 30 minutes. Once you arrive in Chatillon, exit the bus and transfer to the local bus line that goes to Ussel. Check the local bus schedule for timings, as these may vary. After approximately 10 minutes on the local bus, get off at the stop closest to Castello di Ussel. From there, it’s a short walk to the castle, which is well signposted.
Taxi
