Car
If you're driving from Aosta, take the SS26 towards the Mont Blanc Tunnel. Once you reach Courmayeur, follow the signs for the tunnel. After exiting the tunnel in Switzerland, continue on the A5 towards Visp. From Visp, take the A9 and then follow the signs to Zermatt. Note that Zermatt is a car-free village; you'll need to park your car in Täsch and take a shuttle train to Zermatt. The train runs frequently, and the journey takes about 12 minutes.

To reach Zermatt from Aosta by public transport, first, take a regional train from Aosta to Châtillon. At Châtillon, transfer to a train heading to Verres, and then switch to a train bound for Brig. In Brig, catch the train to Zermatt. The entire journey will take around 3.5 to 4 hours, depending on connection times. Be sure to check the schedule ahead of time, as train frequencies may vary.
