Car
If you're driving to Porto Antico in Monopoli, start by getting on the SS16 highway. From Bari, head south on SS16 for about 40 km. Take the exit towards Monopoli and continue on the SP213. Follow signs for Monopoli and when you reach the city center, look for Via Porto. There is limited parking available near the port area, so plan to arrive early to secure a spot.
Public Transportation
To reach Porto Antico by train, take a Trenitalia train from Bari Centrale to Monopoli. The journey takes approximately 40 minutes. Once you arrive at Monopoli train station, exit the station and walk towards Via Roma. From there, you can either walk (about 15 minutes) to Porto Antico or take a local bus (line 1) that will take you closer to the port area. If you choose to walk, head straight down Via Roma, take a left on Via Garibaldi, and follow the signs to the port.
Bus
If you prefer to travel by bus, you can take a FlixBus or another regional service from various cities in Apulia to Monopoli. Upon arriving at the Monopoli bus station, exit and walk towards Via Roma. From there, either walk or catch a local bus (line 1) to Porto Antico. Walking will take around 15 minutes; just follow the directions as mentioned above.
