    Start from the Basilica of Saint Francis of Assisi, which is a central landmark. From the basilica, head east on Via San Francesco until you reach the intersection with Via del Comune. Turn left onto Via del Comune and continue straight until you reach the main square, Piazza del Comune. From the square, take Via Portica and follow it until you reach the intersection with Via del Macello. Turn right onto Via del Macello and continue straight until you reach the foot of the hill. At the top of the hill, you'll find Via Ponte dei Galli. Turn left and continue walking for about 500 meters. Bosco di San Francesco will be on your right at Via Ponte dei Galli, 1.
