    Starting from the Piazza del Comune, head east on Via Bartolomeo D'Alviano. Continue straight until you reach the end of the street, where it intersects with Via San Francesco. Turn left onto Via San Francesco and follow this road uphill. You will see the Basilica of Saint Francis of Assisi ahead of you as you approach. The entrance is located at the Piazza Inferiore di S. Francesco.
