  • Walking

    Start from the Basilica of San Francesco, a major landmark in Assisi. Exit the basilica and head northeast on Via San Francesco. Continue straight until you reach the intersection with Via del Comune. Turn left onto Via del Comune and follow it until you reach the main square, Piazza del Comune. From Piazza del Comune, head southwest on Via Portica, and then turn left onto Via Santa Chiara. Follow this road until it intersects with Via Bernardo da Quintavalle. Turn right onto Via Bernardo da Quintavalle, and CANTO XI will be on your right at number 1/C.

    If you're near the Rocca Maggiore (the fortress), exit and walk down the hill on Via della Rocca. At the bottom, turn left onto Via San Francesco. Continue straight until you reach the intersection with Via del Comune, then turn right onto Via del Comune. Follow it to Piazza del Comune, and from there, take Via Portica southwest. Turn left onto Via Santa Chiara and then right onto Via Bernardo da Quintavalle, where CANTO XI is located at number 1/C.
