Getting There

• Bus

  From Catania city center, head to the Catania Central Bus Station (Stazione degli Autobus) located at Via Archimede. Look for the bus company 'Interbus' which operates services to Taormina. Purchase a ticket at the ticket booth or from the driver. The bus ride to Taormina typically takes about 1 hour. Once you arrive at the Taormina bus station, exit and follow the signs towards the town center.

• Train

  Start at Catania Centrale Train Station, located at Piazza Giovanni Verga. Purchase a ticket for the train to Taormina-Giardini. The journey takes approximately 1 hour and 15 minutes. Once you arrive at Taormina-Giardini station, you can either walk or take a local bus or taxi to the center of Taormina. If walking, follow the signs towards Taormina town center which is about a 30-minute uphill walk.

• Taxi

  If you prefer a more direct route, you can take a taxi from Catania to Taormina. Taxis are available throughout the city and can be booked via phone or hailed from the street. The journey usually takes about 50 minutes, depending on traffic, and will take you directly to Piazza Duomo in Taormina.
