Start from the main square of San Gimignano, Piazza della Cisterna. Head south towards Via San Giovanni. Continue straight along this road until you reach the intersection with Via delle Fonti. Turn left onto Via delle Fonti and follow it until you reach the end of the street, where it meets Via San Matteo. Turn right onto Via San Matteo, which will lead you directly towards the Porta San Matteo. Continue through the gate to exit the medieval walls of San Gimignano. After exiting, head straight down the road for about 500 meters until you reach a bus stop. Here you can take a bus towards Florence.

Once you are at the bus stop, you can take the bus Line 130 (or similar) towards Florence. Make sure to check the bus schedule as they can vary. The journey will take approximately 30-40 minutes. Alight at the stop closest to your destination, which is near the main train station in Florence.

After getting off the bus, head towards Via della Scala and then turn right onto Via Nazionale. Continue walking until you reach Piazza della Repubblica. From there, take Via del Corso, which will lead you to Piazza del Duomo. Once at the Duomo, follow the signs to Piazza del Limbo, which is just a short walk to the northwest from the Duomo, approximately 10 minutes on foot.
