If you are starting from La Spezia, take a train to Riomaggiore, the first town of Cinque Terre. The journey takes approximately 10 minutes. From the Riomaggiore train station, follow the signs to the 'Via dell'Amore' trail which leads towards Manarola. This is a scenic and easy walk along the coast.

Hiking
Once you reach Manarola, continue on the trail following signs to Corniglia. This part of the hike takes you through beautiful vineyards and stunning views of the coastline. The hike from Manarola to Corniglia takes around 30-40 minutes.

From Corniglia, follow the signs to Vernazza. This stretch is steeper and can take around 1 hour. Make sure to take breaks and enjoy the beautiful views along the way.

After arriving in Vernazza, continue your hike towards Monterosso al Mare. This is the final leg of the hike to reach your destination. It will take about 1.5 hours and includes some challenging sections, but the panoramic views are worth it.

Once in Monterosso, head towards the beach area and look for the signs leading to the 'Sentiero AVG5T' or 'Sentiero dell'infinito'. The path will take you up along the cliffs and through beautiful landscapes, eventually leading to the area of Portovenere.
