Start your journey at Santa Maria Novella train station in Florence. From the station, purchase a ticket to Pontassieve, which is approximately a 25-minute train ride. Trains to Pontassieve run frequently, so check the schedule for the next departure. Once you arrive at Pontassieve station, exit the station and walk straight ahead until you reach the main road, Via Roma. Turn left onto Via Roma and continue walking until you reach the intersection with Via di Santa Brigida. At this point, you can either take a local bus (Line 7 or Line 8) towards Santa Brigida or choose to walk. If walking, follow Via di Santa Brigida for about 1.5 kilometers until you reach Castello del Trebbio, which will be on your right. The castle is well-signposted and you will see it from the road.
