Look for bus line 7, which goes to Fiesole. Board the bus and enjoy the scenic ride up to Fiesole. The journey takes about 30 minutes. Get off at the stop 'Fiesole - Piazza Mino'. From there, walk along Via Portigiani for about 10 minutes, and you will reach the Roman Theatre located at Via Portigiani, 1.

If you are near the historic center, you can also walk to the bus station at Santa Maria Novella train station. Once there, take bus line 7 to Fiesole as described above. Alternatively, if you're feeling adventurous, you can hike up to Fiesole from Florence. The hike will take about 1.5 to 2 hours and offers stunning views of the surrounding countryside and the city.
