From the historic center of San Gimignano, head towards the main square, Piazza della Cisterna. Walk straight through the square, passing by the tall towers on your left and right. Continue along Via San Giovanni until you reach the end of the street. Turn right onto Via della Madonna. Follow this road as it curves left and becomes Via San Matteo. Keep walking straight until you reach the bus stop at the edge of town. From there, catch a bus to Florence, which will take approximately an hour.
