Walking
If you are starting from the Florence Cathedral (Cattedrale di Santa Maria del Fiore), head south on Via dei Servi towards Piazza San Giovanni. Continue straight until you reach Piazza San Giovanni, which is directly in front of the Baptistery (Battistero di San Giovanni) and the Cathedral. San Giovanni is located at the heart of this square.
Walking
From the Uffizi Gallery (Galleria degli Uffizi), exit onto Piazza della Signoria and head towards the Palazzo Vecchio. Take Via dei Calzaiuoli, a main pedestrian street, and continue straight until you reach Piazza San Giovanni. San Giovanni is located at the east side of the square.
Bus
If you are near the Santa Maria Novella train station, you can take Bus Line 1 (C1) towards the Duomo. Get off at the stop 'Duomo' which is only a short walk from Piazza San Giovanni. Once you alight, walk towards the cathedral and you will find San Giovanni in the square.
Walking
From Ponte Vecchio, walk along Via de' Tornabuoni heading towards Piazza della Repubblica. Once you reach the square, take Via dei Calzaiuoli straight down towards Piazza San Giovanni. The Baptistery will be visible as you approach the square.

If you prefer a quicker option, you can hail a taxi or use a ride-hailing app. Simply input 'Piazza San Giovanni' as your destination. The driver will take you directly to the square where you can easily see San Giovanni.
