Getting There

Walking
From the central area of Herculaneum, head east on Corso Resina towards the train station. Once you reach the Herculaneum archaeological site, continue walking straight until you reach the Circumvesuviana train station (Ercolano Scavi). Here, you will take the train towards Naples. After riding for about 10 minutes, get off at the Ottaviano station. Once you exit the station, follow the signs towards Via Giuseppe Mazzini and turn left. Continue straight for about 1 km until you see signs for Mount Vesuvius.
