Once you reach the Herculaneum archaeological site, continue walking straight until you reach the Circumvesuviana train station (Ercolano Scavi). Here, you will take the train towards Naples. After riding for about 10 minutes, get off at the Ottaviano station. Once you exit the station, follow the signs towards Via Giuseppe Mazzini and turn left. Continue straight for about 1 km until you see signs for Mount Vesuvius.

    From Herculaneum, walk to the Herculaneum train station (Ercolano Scavi) and purchase a ticket for the Circumvesuviana train to Naples. Get off at the Ottaviano station after approximately 10 minutes. Once you are at Ottaviano station, look for the bus stop nearby where you can catch a local bus heading towards Mount Vesuvius. Ensure to check the bus schedule as it may vary. Once on the bus, stay on until you reach the designated stop for Mount Vesuvius. Follow the signs to the entrance.
