Getting There

  • Walking

    From the Herculaneum Archaeological Park (Parco Archeologico di Ercolano), head southeast on Via IV Novembre toward Via Roma. Continue straight until you reach the intersection with Corso Resina. Turn right onto Corso Resina and walk until you reach the Portici train station. From there, take the Circumvesuviana train towards Sorrento and get off at the next stop, which is Portici. Once you exit the station, walk straight along Via Roma, and then turn left onto Via Cristoforo Colombo. Continue walking until you reach the Porto del Granatello, which will be on your right.

  • Public Transport

    Start at Herculaneum (Ercolano) train station, which is on the Circumvesuviana line. Board a train heading towards Sorrento and travel one stop to Portici. Once you arrive at Portici station, exit and head northwest on Via Roma. After about 200 meters, turn left onto Via Cristoforo Colombo. Continue straight until you arrive at Porto del Granatello, which is located along the waterfront.

    If you are at the main square in Herculaneum (Piazza Municipio), start by heading south on Via Roma. Walk straight for about 1 kilometer until you reach Corso Resina. At this point, continue along Corso Resina until you reach the Portici train station. From the station, follow the instructions for walking from the train station to Porto del Granatello.
