Getting There

  • Walking

    From the center of Herculaneum, head towards the main street, Corso Resina. Walk straight until you reach the Herculaneum Archaeological Park entrance. Once you are at the entrance, turn left onto Via dei Papiri. Continue walking straight on this road for about 1.5 kilometers until you reach the train station, Ercolano Scavi. Here, you can take the Circumvesuviana train towards Sorrento. Alight at the Amalfi stop after approximately 30 minutes. Upon exiting the station, follow the signs pointing towards Amalfi town center. Once in Amalfi, walk towards Via Salita Episcopio, which is a steep incline. You will reach the Archdiocese of Amalfi in about 10 minutes from the town center.

    From Herculaneum, make your way to the bus stop located at the main square, Piazza Pugliano. Look for the SITA bus that goes towards Amalfi. The bus ride takes about 40 minutes. Once you arrive in Amalfi, disembark at the main bus station. From there, head towards the direction of the cathedral and walk straight until you reach Via Salita Episcopio. The Archdiocese will be located on this street, just a short walk uphill.
