From La Thuile, head southeast on the Strada Statale 26 (SS26). Continue on SS26 for approximately 35 km until you reach Aosta. As you approach the city, follow the signs for 'Centro' to navigate into the city center. Once in Aosta, look for signs directing you to Piazza Porta Pretoria. There is street parking available nearby, but it may incur a fee ranging from €1 to €2 per hour, depending on the area.
Public Transportation
To reach Porta Pretoria using public transportation, start at La Thuile bus station (Stazione Autobus La Thuile). Take the 'Savda' bus towards Aosta. The journey takes approximately 1 hour and costs around €7. Once you arrive at the Aosta bus station, exit and walk towards the city center. Follow the signs for 'Piazza Porta Pretoria,' which is about a 15-minute walk from the bus station. Enjoy the scenic route through the historic streets of Aosta.
