    Getting There

    Walking

    If you are starting from the Lucca city center, make your way to Piazza dell'Anfiteatro. From there, head towards Via Fillungo, which is the main shopping street. Continue down Via Fillungo until you reach the intersection with Via San Paolino. Turn left onto Via San Paolino and walk straight until you reach the roundabout. At the roundabout, take the first exit onto Viale Carlo del Prete. Continue walking along this road, and you will see Porta San Pietro on your left, marked by its historical archway.

    Public Transport

    Although Lucca is a small city and best explored on foot, if you are near the train station or other districts, you can take a bus that heads towards the city center. Get off at the stop near Piazza San Michele. From there, walk towards Via Santa Croce, then turn left onto Via San Paolino, and continue until you reach Viale Carlo del Prete. Porta San Pietro will be on your left as you walk along this road.

    Bicycle

    If you have rented a bike, start from the city walls near the Porta San Donato. Ride along the walls towards the eastern side, enjoying the views. As you approach the area around Viale Carlo del Prete, you can exit the walls and head directly down to the street. Follow Viale Carlo del Prete, and you will reach Porta San Pietro shortly after.
