From the center of Lucca, start at the main square, Piazza dell'Anfiteatro. Head northwest on Via Fillungo until you reach the intersection with Via San Paolino. Turn left onto Via San Paolino and continue straight. After about 500 meters, you will come to the Porta San Marco, one of the city gates. Continue straight through the gate and follow the road as it curves slightly to the right, becoming Via San Giovanni. After approximately 1 kilometer, you will reach the train station, Stazione di Lucca. From there, you can take a train to Pisa. The train ride will take about 30 minutes. Once you arrive at Pisa Centrale, exit the station and head toward the bus station nearby. Take bus number 21 towards 'Piazza dei Miracoli'. Get off at the stop 'Piazza dei Cavalieri'. The Statua di Cosimo I will be directly in front of you.
Bicycle
Rent a bicycle from one of the rental stations in Lucca, particularly around the city walls. Start by cycling along the city walls in a counter-clockwise direction until you exit the city through Porta San Marco. After exiting, follow the bike paths that lead toward the main road to Pisa. The bike ride to Pisa will take approximately 30-40 minutes. Once you arrive in Pisa, head towards the center and follow signs for 'Piazza dei Cavalieri'. The Statua di Cosimo I is located in the square, and you will find it easily once you arrive.
Public Transport
Make your way to the Lucca train station, Stazione di Lucca. You can walk there from the city center, which will take about 15 minutes, heading towards Via San Giovanni. Once at the station, catch a train to Pisa Centrale. The journey takes about 30 minutes. Upon arrival at Pisa Centrale, exit the station and look for the bus terminal. Take bus number 21 towards 'Piazza dei Miracoli' and get off at the 'Piazza dei Cavalieri' stop. The Statua di Cosimo I will be right there in the square.
