Walking
The University Library is located on Via Zamboni, a central street in Bologna easily accessible by foot from many points in the city center. From Piazza Maggiore, walk north along Via dell'Indipendenza, then turn right onto Via Zamboni. The library will be on your left. Allow approximately 15 minutes for the walk. No costs are associated with this approach.

Public Transport
Several bus lines stop near the University Library on Via Zamboni. From Bologna Centrale train station, take bus lines 1, 3, 4, 5, 8, 11, 14, 18, 19, 20, 21, 25, 27, 30, 32, 33, 36, 37, 62, 68, 87, 90, 92, 99. Get off at the 'Teatro Comunale' or 'Via Zamboni - Piazza Verdi' stop. The library is a short walk from either stop. A single bus ticket costs €2.30 if purchased before boarding or €2.50 if purchased on the bus.

Taxis are readily available throughout Bologna. A taxi ride from Bologna Centrale train station to the University Library will take approximately 5-10 minutes, depending on traffic. The base fare is €5.00 during the day, with a per-kilometer charge of €1.20. Expect to pay around €11-15 for the trip. It's worth noting that there are extra charges for things such as luggage (€0.50 per piece).
