Walking

From the center of Carpinone, follow Corso Aquilonia and descend the path indicated for Cascata dello Schioppo. After a short walk, you'll reach a bridge over a stream. Take the paved road to the right, then follow the signs uphill to the left onto a dirt road. Continue following the signs to reach the waterfall. The walk takes approximately 20 minutes.

Public Transport

Take a train to the nearest railway station and then a local bus to Carpinone. From the Carpinone bus stop, it is approximately a 10-minute walk to reach the trail leading to the waterfall. Check local bus schedules for frequency, as services may be limited in rural areas.

Unlike the partially artificial Carpinone waterfalls, Cascata Schioppo is a completely natural cascade fed solely by the Tura stream. The waterfall descends approximately 10 meters down a mossy stone face into a natural pool.Carpinone itself is perched on a rocky spur, featuring a double wall. The village is known for its stone houses and cobblestone streets. The Caldora Castle, dating back to Norman times, overlooks the town.A visit to Cascata Schioppo offers a refreshing experience in nature. The area is ideal for a relaxing walk, surrounded by woodland. Recently, other waterfalls, such as the Paradiso, have been discovered in the area.
