The statue is approximately 3 meters tall and stands atop a 4-meter base, with the names of the fallen inscribed in bronze letters on the sides.The choice of a Samnite warrior is significant, as Pietrabbondante has ancient origins, with the Samnites inhabiting the area as early as the 6th century BC. The Samnites were a formidable Italic people who clashed with the Romans for centuries, and the statue serves as a reminder of their courage and resilience.The War Memorial is located in Via Roma, a central location in Pietrabbondante, making it easily accessible to visitors.
