    Start at the main square of Montepulciano, Piazza Grande. From the square, head down the main street, Corso Vannucci, continuing straight. You will pass several shops and cafes. After about 600 meters, you will come to a fork in the road; take the left fork onto Via di San Donato. Follow this road until you reach the end, where it will merge into Via del Poliziano. Continue straight for another 400 meters until you reach the intersection with Via delle Lettere. Turn right onto Via delle Lettere and follow it until you reach the next intersection. Turn left onto Via dell'Opio in Montepulciano. Continue for about 300 meters, and you will see a sign pointing to Pienza. Follow the signs, and after another 800 meters, you will arrive at Corso il Rossellino in Pienza, where San Francesco is located at number 26.

    From Montepulciano, head to the nearest bus stop at Via Poliziano. Check the bus schedules for routes to Pienza. Buses run regularly, and the ride will take around 15-20 minutes.
