• Car

The journey typically takes about 30-40 minutes. Once you arrive at Santa Maria Novella, exit the station and head towards the historic center. You can either walk (approximately 20 minutes) or take a local bus. If walking, head down Via Nazionale, then take a right onto Via della Scala until you reach the Arno River. Cross the river via Ponte alla Carraia, then continue on Via dei Renai to reach the museum.

  For those preferring the bus, you can catch a regional bus from Mugello to Florence. Look for the 'SITA' buses that run frequently from towns like Borgo San Lorenzo. The bus will take you directly to the main bus station in Florence (Piazza della Libertà). From there, it is about a 25-minute walk to the museum. Head towards the historic center, moving down Via Lorenzo il Magnifico, then Via de' Cerretani until you reach the Duomo. From there, follow the Arno River on your left, walking along Via dei Renai until you arrive at the museum.
