From the center of Mugello, take the SP503 towards Florence. Follow the signs for Firenze and merge onto the A1 motorway. Continue on the A1 for approximately 25 kilometers. Take exit 9 towards Firenze Scandicci and merge onto the Firenze-Siena road (SS67). Continue past the historic center of Florence, and follow the signs for Piazzale Michelangelo. From Piazzale Michelangelo, take Via di San Miniato in the direction of Basilica di San Miniato. The basilica is located at Via delle Porte Sante, 34, and parking is available nearby but may require a fee (approximately €1-2 per hour).

Start at the nearest train station in Mugello, such as Borgo San Lorenzo. Take a regional train towards Florence (Firenze Santa Maria Novella). The journey takes about 30 minutes. Once you arrive at Florence Santa Maria Novella, exit the station and take bus number 12 towards 'Piazzale Michelangelo'. Get off at 'San Miniato' station, which is a short walk from the basilica. Note that the bus ticket costs approximately €1.50 and is valid for 90 minutes.
