Train
From Pisa Centrale train station, take a train towards Livorno. Trains run frequently, approximately every 30 minutes. The travel time is about 20-25 minutes. Once you arrive at Livorno Centrale station, exit the station and head towards the bus terminal.

At Livorno Centrale, take bus number 1 towards 'Piazza Cavour'. The bus ride will take about 15-20 minutes. Get off at the 'Piazzale dei Marmi' stop. The Fortezza Vecchia is a short walk from there.
